DIAGNOSTICS
Why organisations struggle.
Most organisational breakdowns are not caused by lack of strategy. They are caused by breakdowns in how decisions are made, how leadership behaves, and how people work together when pressure increases, breakdowns that ultimately show up in slower growth, inconsistent profitability, and leadership transitions that put continuity at risk.
Orankan focuses on the underlying systems that determine whether an organisation can scale, perform consistently, and survive beyond any single leader: governance, leadership capability, culture, and execution.
Organisations rarely fail because of one big mistake. They fail because of several small breakdowns that build on each other: a decision nobody owns, a leader who behaves differently under pressure, a message that gets lost between departments, a culture that quietly pushes good people out.
On their own, each of these feels manageable. Together, they add up to an organisation that works harder than it should and grows slower than it could. The real challenge is not spotting what's wrong. Most leaders already sense it. The real challenge is building something durable enough that the fix actually lasts.
"Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately degenerate into hard work."
— Peter Drucker
Location Systems
Two continents.
One problem.
Orankan operates across London, Berlin, and Lagos. The organisational challenges we encounter across Europe and Africa are shaped by different regulatory and cultural contexts, but they share the same underlying structure: a gap between intention and execution.
Strategy is typically clear. Execution is not. Roles are often defined. Decision rights are not. Teams are usually capable. Alignment is not sustained. Orankan was built to address this gap.
Systems Dynamics
The organisational problem.
Organisational performance is not primarily a technical problem. It is a systems problem. When governance is unclear, decision-making becomes inconsistent. When leadership capability is uneven, communication breaks down. When culture is weak, execution slows even when strategy is strong.
Most organisations respond by increasing activity: more training, more processes, more interventions. The result is often higher activity without improved coherence. Orankan works differently. We focus on the structural conditions that shape behaviour inside organisations.
History
Origin.
Kunle's work in this field began in 2011, teaching business communication to middle and senior managers at a Fortune 500 company in Hungary, and discovering that what professionals needed was not language coaching but leadership presence.
Over 15+ years since, he has worked across corporate, government, healthcare, and founder-led environments, supporting organisations through governance design, leadership development, and large-scale behavioural change.
Alongside advisory work, he has built and scaled commercial operations in fast-moving consumer environments, leading teams of 40+ people across multi-site structures. This operational experience shapes the way Orankan approaches organisational work: not as theory, but as lived systems under pressure.
It informs a simple principle: if a system does not work in practice, it does not work at all.

EXECUTION
How we work.
Orankan does not operate as a traditional training or consulting firm. We work through structured engagements designed to improve how organisations actually function.
Each engagement typically involves diagnostic work to understand system friction, facilitated leadership conversations, governance and decision structure design, capability development at leadership level, and implementation support over time.
The focus is not on delivering content. The focus is on changing how the organisation operates.
We work with a select group of experienced practitioners across our core practice areas. Every engagement is personally led and quality-assured by Kunle Orankan.
Coherence
What defines our work.
We are not focused on organisational activity. We are focused on organisational coherence. This distinction matters. Research consistently shows that even well-designed change initiatives fail at scale when alignment, leadership behaviour, and communication systems are not stable.
In practice, this means clear decision rights instead of informal influence, stable leadership behaviour instead of reactive management, structured communication instead of repetition and confusion, and aligned teams instead of parallel interpretations of strategy.
The outcome is not more work. It is less friction.
TARGET CLIENTS
Who we work with.
We work with organisations operating in environments where performance, structure, and people dynamics are tightly connected. This includes founders and leadership teams navigating growth and complexity, financial institutions managing scale and regulatory complexity, healthcare providers managing workforce stability and leadership capability, public institutions and parastatals undergoing reform or operational transformation, and cross-border organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions. We are selective in the work we take on, prioritising depth of engagement over volume.

ACTION
Start a conversation.
Most organisations do not need more ideas. They need clearer operating systems.
If you are experiencing challenges in governance, leadership alignment, execution, or workforce stability, the starting point is a structured conversation.
We use this to understand where friction is occurring inside the organisation, how decisions are currently made and executed, where leadership alignment is breaking down, and what is limiting stability, performance, or scale.
From there, we determine whether a governance, leadership, or facilitation engagement is appropriate.
We handle all enquiries directly and in confidence.
